On The Road Again….

We’ve been traveling all over the US and this time it was for the One Direction On The Road Again tour and the 5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS) Rock Out With Your Sock Out tour. We are honored to have been asked to participate as an on-screen partner for these bands and we must say, we were thrilled! For those of you living under a rock, One Direction is currently the biggest boy band in the world and 5SOS will be the next big star. Here is our awesome travel schedule and some pics along the way. We had so much fun and made so many memories. We aren’t rockstars but just going to 3 shows in 4 days wore us out. We have shattered any dreams of ever being a rockstar…it’s completely exhausting, a lot of hard work and our ears are still ringing (although I’m sure it’s a tad bit easier if you have a tour bus, a zillion screaming fans and a driver).

September 1, 2015: Depart Dallas on the 6:00am flight to Philadelphia. We land and check out Philly and check into our hotel. Pick up McKenna at 5:00pm for the show!!

September 2, 2015: Drive 139 miles to Long Island, NY…which should only take about 2 hours but it’s NEW YORK. It takes us 8 hours to get there (with only two, 1 hour stops along the way) and we pull up to the concert just in time to meet some PREP girls and see the show. AMAZING venue at Jones Beach Theater.

September 3, 2015: Drive into Manhattan for meetings. Ashley is the navigator and Kelly is the driver; we get honked at 6 times. We do not go down any one way streets going the wrong direction. It costs $60 to park for the 2-hour meeting (seriously!). When leaving New York City it takes 47 minutes to go 3 blocks. We are honked at 2 times and yelled at by one pedestrian.

September 4, 2015: Head to New Jersey from Philadelphia for the 5SOS concert. Meet some really awesome PREP girls! The show starts and we decided to give our tickets to 4 girls who were HUGE fans and sitting at the back of the venue. They squeal in delight knowing they are moving up to the 8th row.

September 5, 2015: Head back to Dallas!

September 10, 2015: Land in Boston at 5:00pm. Take the Logan Express bus (it’s only $5 to the city!) and get dropped at our hotel. The very small hotel has cancelled our room. It’s raining and we don’t have an umbrella. Meet the nicest lady, Martha, who helps us and walks us to a little boutique hotel. They don’t have any rooms but they do have furnished apartments 2 blocks down. Turns out to be such a cool place with brick interior walls and within walking distance to yummy restaurants and shops. Sometimes things don’t go as planned and the new plan turns out even better!

September 11, 2015: A day of remembrance for America. We decide to lift our spirits and have some fun doing the Ride the Ducks water/land adventure around the city. So super fun!

September 12, 2015: Walk to train station. Take train to Mansfield, MA. Take taxi to Foxborough, MA. Walk 1.5 miles to concert (and yes, that’s the easiest way to get there if you don’t have a car!). Definitely got our walking steps in - 15,422 to be exact! Amazing, amazing, amazing concert. So much fun and the boys were sentimental since it was their last US show. The audience was great, everyone was very respectful and all had a great time. Missed the last train (10:55pm) into Boston so used Uber to get back. Not cheap but we were all very tired so it was worth it to get home since we had early flights! Bedtime: 1:30am.

September 13, 2015: Say good-bye to Boston, the city we all fell in love with and want to come back to as soon as possible. The people, the food, the shops…what a great city! Head back to Dallas and get ready to get back to work! Who knew owning a skincare line for girls was going to be this much work and this much fun?!
