Sun damage is responsible for more than 90% of visible changes we see in aging skin. Prevent sun damage and aging by wearing P.R.E.P. Sunscreen every day. The lotion is a broad spectrum SPF which blocks both harmful UVA and UVB rays. The micro fine zinc oxide spreads easily and evenly, and absorbs immediately without a trace of white residue that most zinc-based sunscreens leave.
Zinc Oxide — The single most effective broad spectrum ingredient, zinc oxide is a natural mineral sunscreen that sits on the surface of the skin where it reflects and scatters UV rays rather than absorbing into the skin the way chemical sunscreens do. Zinc may also be helpful in preventing or decreasing the severity of acne by minimizing the over production of oil in acne prone skin. It also helps heal existing acne damage heal faster. Unlike the white paste you probably had smeared on your bottom as a baby to help soothe diaper rash, the PREP Cosmetic microfine zinc oxide rubs in quickly without a greasy or tacky feel or any telltale white residue and won’t create white streaks when you sweat.
Jojoba Oil — This excellent moisturizer is very similar to our natural skin oils, improving skin’s velvety suppleness for hours. Jojoba prevents water loss and dehydration without clogging pores or feeling greasy. It has antibacterial properties and may actually aid in balancing skin’s sebum (oil) production to prevent acne.
Niacinamide — Also known as Vitamin B3, niacinamide helps skin produce its own natural moisturizing elements to keep skin healthy and protected. It acts as a natural anti-inflammatory and decreases acne and redness while increasing collagen production, keeping skin firm and supple.
Tocopherol — This powerhouse antioxidant also know as Vitamin E, is a natural antioxidant. It helps your body destroy dangerous molecules called free radicals that are produced when skin is exposed to UV rays, pollution, smoke, and other harmful substances. It also helps moisturize and preserve the barrier function of the skin. Tocopherol naturally promotes healing and oil balance as well as preventing dehydration of the skin.
